Fairfield University Art Museum, FUAM, opened Sacred Space: A Brandywine Workshop and Archive Print Exhibition on September 21, 2024.  In this traveling exhibition, the gallery artist Janet Taylor Pickett showcases “Memory Jacket” and “Middle Passage Jacket,” 2007.

The exhibition is a portal into the interconnected realms of spirituality, time, space, memory, and culture. The artists pay homage to their forebears, drawing upon cultural traditions, rituals, and sacred practices to honor, preserve, and question the invaluable heritage that shapes our identities.
